Designed as an incubator for innovation, The Hub at 1 Martin Place expands Macquarie’s portfolio of industry leading workplaces.

Completed in 2015, Macquarie Group’s offices at 1 Martin Place set a new standard for flexible, team-based work environments that encourage collaboration. Designed with open workstations, improved light flow, and informal meeting areas, the space enhances interaction and connectivity.

The centerpiece of the design is a striking atrium that connects all seven levels with a bold, Escher-like purple staircase. This dynamic feature is complemented by raw industrial materials and adaptable lighting that aligns with natural circadian rhythms.

Each atrium level hosts vibrant, activity-filled spaces, while adjoining areas include a flexible IT lab, cinema, library, and games room, providing a diverse and engaging work environment.

At the heart of the fitout is the L4 Café, serving as the office’s social hub and a welcoming space for visitors, fostering a culture of connection and innovation.
